Becoming A Poet?
Becoming a Poet?
It is said that “the abundance of the Heart, the mouth speaks, likewise the richness of one’s thoughts and imagination, the pen writes”.
In poetry, your emotions, achievements, and thoughts can be put into writing. This is one way of expressing and sharing your God-given talent with others. Writers write poems because they wanted to express their feelings, share their thoughts, entertain each reader's interest in life. A poet is keen enough to listen to the voice of nature in the middle of the silence. They can even read the minds and behavior of others.
Thus, I have these easy tips for you to follow if you have the passion to display your emotions, best experiences, and achievements through poetry all over the universe.
Concentrate on a title you care about in a single day.
Select the best title or topic that catches the interest of the readers.
Think of some idiomatic expressions and figures of speech that could help relate and express your ideas.
Choose the most attractive words that may also describe and hook the thoughts of your poem.
Avoid choosing the bad experiences in life that may encourage the readers to feel upset.
Share your achievements and good experiences in life, which of course motivate the readers to do so.
Limit the length of your poem from 4- 6 stanzas to four lines and observe precise rhyming.
Use only familiar words that the readers could simply digest in just one sitting.
Observe the correct usage of grammar.
Let other professionals read your poem for proofreading purposes before publishing it on any Websites.
One thing to ponder on, if you have something to share, do not feel hesitant to share it with the whole system. Remember, one cannot share if he has nothing to do so. Poetry as art is one way of expressing one’s indispensable thoughts and emotions that has purely wrapped with valued substance for the welfare of the readers.
